Too busy sitting down!

My last post was on Thursday.  I think this is the longest lapse between posts.  If I may recall saying that if you did not see a new post within 7 days, something may have happened to this old man.  So I better scribble a few words to let you know that I am still breathing.  I wonder whether anyone cares??

Lately I have been very busy strategising on my "internet  marketing."  Only recently I managed to grasp some solid tips on how to go about attracting traffic to my articles.  There are alot of hardwork involved to set up a strong network of website links in order to enable Google to "crawl" and identify my articles.  You see, we depend on heavy traffic to visit our sites/articles.  No reader, no result.  Simple as that.  So the most important basework is to create a strong network of website links to my articles.  Well, if you don't understand what I am talking, it's ok.  After all I am just as confused!!

To cut matter short, I have been very very busy sitting on a chair staring at the monitor screen, clicking away, sometimes past 3 in the morning.  This is the reason for the long silence in this blog.

You will be seeing a slight change in the contents on the right side bar in time to come.

I just watched a tv programme on Da Ai Tv of Tzu Chi Buddhist Foundation. It introduces a song by John Lennon, 'Imagine'. I think it is beneficial to all to post the lyric here so to see how many of us here are 'dreamer'. The song inspired me. I am a dreamer. Are you?

Imagine there's no Heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today

Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace

You may say that I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one

Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world

You may say that I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will live as one

Yes, "Imagine" is a very "Buddhist" ideal. But with "God-fearing" humans, it will just remain a dream.

You know many may even label this as the "Devil's" message and call for blood!! Hope John Lenon was not murdered for this reason!!

Dream on.

Buddhism itself is not a religion per se.

What John Lennon was asking us was to 'imagine'.

Imagine if there is no hell and heaven,

Imagine if there is no country,

Imagine if there is no greed and possession,

Imagine if there is no religion,

Will the world be a peaceful one?

I strongly think it will. Religion itself is divisive, but 'God-fearing' humans think otherwise.

John Lennon was just asking us to 'imagine' (not even 'think'). Is there any harm to 'imagine', God-fearing humans?

"Devil" has powerful followers around the world, it can provide various means and finances to wage war; demand of dead and destruction and blood to enrich individual follower with profit from natural resources. A peaceful world existing in a dreamer mind is hard to realize in this volatile world fill with powerful and yet corrupt government among nations .

Well said, Bow.

It seems you are a 'dreamer.

Power is contaminated and can be addicted, even to religious leaders as well.

John Lennon did not mention "Imagine if there's no God". Just imagine what would happen to him if he did mention this.

Actually many of these great singers, song composers, philosophers are of 'Buddhist' thinking even though by label, they are not. That's why, it is not important what faith or religion you are, so long one has the mindset of John Lennon, Michael Jackson (he has many great songs).

In short, religions are divisive, instead of promoting peace and humanity.

ATM; i think everyone is a dreamer somewhere along various stages in their life journey till the end, it is always nice to have a little or big dream in us from the fact that by keeping our dreams alive, we can continue to live in this cruel and selfish world with something to hold on to without losing our sense of direction and righteousness. Many times, the lyrics of some great artists reflect the often neglected reality that take place in today society. I had no doubt John Lenon is one of the many great song writers of our past.

ATM and bow,

The whole life is just a long dream, a continuation of our nightly dreams.

When you have past the critical stage of 60, your dream becomes clearer, and you suddenly realize you have not much time to dream on.

Of course some , like the cunning old fox with the big (Maha) Tail is still dreaming away.

It's been 7 days since my last post. So I have to find time to put up another post, otherwise you might think that I am writing this from up above or is it down below??!!

John Lennon doesn't use the word 'think' as he probably understand that religions are deeply enshrined into all of our mindset since young by authority, it will be a futile effort to call on his listeners to do so. He uses 'imagine' as an alternative word to spread the message of his dreams where a peaceful world can exist.

His message of achieving a peaceful world may also had contributed to his assassination and infuriated many religious extremists in the process, either from 'God' or 'Devil' worshipers and followers.
