Have you ever thought of your "last days"??

Not a nice picture from my garden. A wilted flower which was in full bloom a day before.

Tonight is not a very happy evening for me, not that I feel happy every evening. Have you ever thought of what your "last days" in life would be like?? Or on a more positive note, your "twilight years"?

Just a few years back when my mother was living out her twilight years, she was very weak. She needed assistance to "move around" on wheel chair. Getting into and out of the car was a struggle both for her and for me. Now she is no more here.

Today I brought my father to see my new home. He has become very weak just like my mother a few years back. Getting him into and out of the car was a struggle both for him and for me.

There was a peculiar behaviour in both my parents at this stage in life. They preferred to stay quiet. Both my parents are very fortunate as they have good children to look after them.

This leads me to contemplate on what my last days would be like. That's why I feel very sad tonight. I don't think I will be as fortunate as both my parents. That's why I try very hard to keep healthy by living "healthy".

My dying wish will be :

"Let me be healthy until my last day; when I go to bed and never to come back."

Justin,

Que Sera Sera, Whatever Will be, Will be.

This is one of my favourite piano piece to remind myself to face whatever things not within our control with open heart. I play it whenever I am not in good mood and it will cheer me up.

I hope this song will do wonder to you as well. The lyrics of the song to share with you, my friend.

When I was just a little girl
I asked my mother, what would I be
Will I be pretty, will I be rich
Here's what she said to me.

chorus :-
Que Sera, Sera
Whatever will be, will be
Our future not ours, to see
Que Sera, Sera
What will be, will be.

When I was young, I fell in love
I asked my sweetheart what lies ahead
Will we have rainbows, day after day
Here's what my sweetheart said

Now I have children of my own
They asked their mother, what will I be
Will I be handsome, will I be rich
I tell them tenderly.

Hi Justin,

I think this topic is very heavy for me.... But let me just talk what is in my mind at this moment.

It is indeed very interesting because just yesterday, one of our local newspaper quoted an ex-MP as saying that God will judge/punish those people who have bad intention of tarning his "good image".

Ha, ha, ha..... I guess in ex-MP is not afraid to die. In fact he thinks that God will punish us for stopping him from enjoying his rights as MP to use public funds to bring his whole family + officials on Disneyland trips.

If these people are not afraid of their "last days" on earth ; I guess ; I need not worry too much too.

:-)

Interesting things are happening only in Boleh Land. The innocent goes to jail & the obvious culprit who spent Millions of RM goes to Disneyland.

Don't worry for me A true Malaysian.

I am ok. Just contemplating on the realities of life, and thought some of you might want to think about it.

Lili,

Until a person "arrived" at the "end" he will never know what is going to happen to him throughout the journey.

Let the natural law take its course.

Justin,

I gave it a thought also on this matter. Like your wish,

"Let me be healthy until my last day; when I go to bed and never to come back."

is also my wish. This way of passing is without or minimal suffering. Why not? Of course, if there is a moment to say "good bye" to loved ones, that will be a bonus.

But, will that be within our control? Just let natural law takes its course.

whatever will be will be.. Justin.

Whatever we suffer during our last days, we should take it in our stride and should not complain. as it is part of our Karma...

Sometimes we need to fullfill our karma in order to move to a different plane...

I just hope that when I die, my loved ones will be chanting Amitable so that I might have a chance to go to pure Land.

Of course, as mortal beings now, all of us would like to have an old age without sufferings. Perhaps we have to do more for the society now, to have a better chance of fullfilling our wish?
