Bullshit!

It's been a long week since I posted my last thought. I have been preoccupied with building up my new "business" website; many new things to learn; and a lot of time wasted trying to figure out how to do things; very frustrating but challenging.

Lately the main topic in the local scene is "the cow head demonstration".

You would have watched it in Youtube. For me, I just watched for a few seconds. It made me sick. What sort of "head" this person has? Perhaps without a brain inside.

Do you need a religion to teach you some human decency and decorum? Where is your human common sense?

The worst is that, adding insult to injury, he is let off the hook.

As simple as a KISS

Sometimes one wonders why we are so stupid. Don't we have a brain that is supposed to be for thinking and reasoning?

Can we do this?
Can we do that?
Can we wear this?
Can we drink that?

Just consider these 3 cardinal rules:

1. Does this action harm us?

2. Does this action harm others?

3. Does this action bring any benefit to our welfare?

Very simple. KISS!

Keep It Straight & Short!

Keep It Short & Simple!

Keep It Simple Sweetie!

Keep It Simple Stupid!

Disposable Masks

Disposable face masks were sold at 30 sen each not so long ago.

Today, sorry no stock!! But wait a minute, they just happened to have a few left but procured at a hefty cost...so if you want...RM5 each.

Talk about human decency!

These people ought to be shot in broad daylight, for they are committing daylight robbery.

Seeing Stars!

We are famililiar with the cartoon character seeing "twinkling stars" when suffered a knock on his head. Lately I have been suffering from this "twinkling stars" syndrome. No, I didn't suffer from any knock on the head.

As some of you may know, this period I am going through this "Internet Marketing" course, supposed to be hands-on guiding stupid people like me. But alas! I was in for a shocker. If not for a "guiding angel" sitting beside me, I would be lost from day one and would have given up, not because I chickened out but simply I could not continue because I would not know how to click on the right button!! Thank you Kok Wei.

So each time I came back seeing stars. Luckily I could find my way home safely, late at night usually after 12.

Come to think of it..the paradox of life.......you got to be a stupid teacher in order to teach stupid students like me. For if the teacher is too good, his mindset is that his students are as smart as him, or put it in another way, he expects his students to be that good to know what to do correctly. Can't we realize that those learning are those who don't know the subject? If we are already familiar with the subject, we don't have to go to class anymore.

Now that I have let off steam, I shall wait to see stars again, come next session.

What a life!!??

A most unassuming lady.

Ever since I moved into my new home, I have been very fascinated with this lady who operates the corner coffee shop nearby. It is also as new as my new house.

Things were pretty quiet each time I went to the shop. But one thing fascinated me. It is this lady. This lady is a natural beauty without any make-up, with the simplest hairdo, always calm and relaxed with a perpetual Mona Lisa smile on her face, speaking ever so softly. Beauty not in looks, but in character. When no hawker wanted to sell anything in her shop, she would be dishing out Hokkien Mee while at the same time taking care of the drinks. Right now, since no one is selling breakfast, she is busy with her fried mee and bee hoon, every morning.

I can't help but observe her presence, for each morning I would have to pass by her shop while taking my grand daughter to her kindergarten.

I am happy for this lady, as business is now picking up.

The character of resilience! It is so pleasant to see such a person. My greatest admiration and respect for her.

Maybank Boleh!

Maybank boleh!

This morning I went to the Maybank Autocity (Juru, Penang) Branch at 7.30am to be early for the AS1M bonds. I was most happy to be first on the queue.

Came 9.15, and I was the first to be called. The teller processed my application, and after waiting for about 10 minutes it went through and a passbook was prepared. I was grinning from one end to the other just like Mr Bean!!

Then came the durian! I mean the most feared thing to happen to on-line trading. The system hanged, and my payment was not effected. There was only 2 counters processing the AS1M, I was No.1 and the other behind me was No. 2. That's all. Close shop. All the rest can wait till kingdom come.

Two agony hours passed and still no connection. Lunch time, still blank. So the next logical thing was to tell the embarrassed teller to call me when (if ever) the line was connected and my investment completed. So I went home , expecting a call from them for the worst that my passbook was ready but "sorry all taken up, by the time the line was connected!".

By 3.45 the call came and surprised...I got my passbook with the amount credited!! As for the rest from No.3 to who knows how many....went home disappointed and disgusted.

Maybank Boleh lah!!!!!!!!!

Reducing plastic bags.

I have been thinking about this "reduce use of plastic bags" riddle, eversince the Penang State government embarked on the campaign to reduce use of plastic bags. One morning, while waiting for my wife in the car, I watched the rubbish truck making its rounds. What I saw was that every rubbish collected was in shopping plastic bag. This means these bags are usefully reused to collect rubbish. Can anyone think of any other way to despose off the rubbish?

So the question is this. And this happened to me. When you run out of shopping plastic bags, what do you use to wrap your rubbish? I had to go buy rubbish bags from the supermarket.

So I still ended up having to use plastic bags! So where do we go from here? I really don't know. One thing I know is that stopping the use of plastic bags in supermarkets is not going to reduce its use.

Any one has a better option?
