Worldly wisdom in Hokkien songs. (Part 1)

Those familiar with popular Hokkien songs will know that there are a lot of worldly wisdom in the lyrics. The Taiwanese are very good at it with catchy tunes to boot.

I searched through You Tube and was able to find two of my favourites, one of which I present below. The second one will be posted tomorrow as "Part 2". It will feature the original singer (I think) who sang the first song.

For those not knowing Hokkien, just enjoy the songs with these pearls of wisdom:

1.Life is 30% fate, and 70% hard work.
2.Life is like the ocean waves, sometimes up sometimes down.
3.You must work hard to win.

Beautiful lady with beautiful voice, Joyce Lim.

Justin,

Joyce Lim is a Malaysian.

Jeff Ooi sang this song during 308 GE campaign, and he won comfortably. It is a favourite song among Chinese, especially Hokkien.

A true Malaysian,

Yes she is ONE Malaysian, as commented by one of the commentators.

Is she a famous singer?

Very pretty. Wish I am 28 years old and as handsome and tall as the good doctor!! Hahahahaha!!!!!!!
