Malaysian Insider reports that actor David Carradine, star of the 1970s US television show “Kung Fu”, was found naked and hanging dead from a rope in the closet of his luxury Bangkok hotel room on June 4.
No signs were found of other people in the room and the body of the 72-year-old actor was sent to a hospital for an autopsy, police said.
In life nothing is certain. If you are as old as me, this holds very true. Life is, with the ups and downs like the ocean waves. But unlike the ocean waves, you never know when the downs are coming, especially when you are high up enjoying life.
So beware, especially corrupt and opportunist politicians!!

My late dad taught me that when you are high, do not feel too happy,, when you are done , do not feel too sad...Just treat all things with a normal heart,'ping chang xing'.

I think "ping chang xing" is equivalent to the Buddhist term "equanimity".
In theory it's easy to explain. But in practice, it's just that difficult. That's why Buddhists are constantly reminded to be mindful and to try to live life in equanimity.
When one is successful and happy, life is too blissful to stay in "equanimity". When one is in a sorrowful state, life is just too miserable to stay in "equanimity"!!
Such is the real nature of existence.
I think it is important to maintain our lifestyle to "as simplest as possible" even if one is wealthy, if not, our lifetime will be wasted in chasing materialistic means.
Of course, this is easy to say as things changes from time to time, and we will never know what will happen next.
Understanding of how Karma dictates is hard to do especially things are not in our favour, but it still dictates. I believe that is why there is a Chinese saying, 船到橋头自然直,i.e. the boat straighten when cross the bridge.
