It takes all kinds

I was at Tesco Extra, Seberang Prai.  Guess what I saw?  This elderly lady was squatting down in front of stacks of eggs, you know those in trays of 30s?  Beside this lady was I supposed her grown-up son.  You know what they were doing?  I can't believe my eyes.  They opened up the clear plastic covers of the trays and were chosing the "bigger" eggs to be placed in the tray of their choice.

What naive, selfish and most inconsiderate humans I've ever seen.  They were so engrossed in their mission that they were not feeling embarrassed by this silly public display of indiscretion.  They were totally oblivious of people staring at them in disbelieve!!  Well, I supposed they had such lowly mentality, if at all they had any, to feel ashamed of their act.

By the way, the eggs were all machine-sort and I don't think they could even get a gramme more out of their silly exercise.

What a shame!!

Well I suppose everything is possible in Boleh Land.

It takes all kinds.........

You are non-Muslim, therefore you gamble.

These two stooges are spewing utter rubbish!  They are treating us like nincompoops!  I am tempted to use the 4-lettered word on them.  However, our blogger friend HERE is more civil and diplomatic.  He used the most appropriate civil term, which I just looked up the dictionary :  "artful sophistry."
"Sophistry" means "a subtle, tricky, superficially plausible, but generally fallacious method of reasoning."

For simple folk like me, I just use BULLSHIT!!

What am I babbling about?  Well, you see, two "senior" incumbent Ministers trying to sell fridges to the eskimoes!  According to them, if  you  are non-Muslim then you gamble.  At least this is what I am given to understand.  Maybe you can interprete better by going to the links:

What would they do next?  Sell air-cons to the Eskimoes!!

Aiyooooh !!

Lim Guan Eng sends me his report card

(Photo from The Star Online)

No kidding, Lim Guan Eng hand delivers his report card to me today.  Of course he has more important missions to complete; so he actually gets some flyer delivery company to do the job.

His report is in 4 languages, with an accompanying letter.  I tried to search for a copy in the internet but could only end up in The Star report.

Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng said that 500,000 pamphlets had been printed in English, Malay, Chinese and Tamil using RM51,550 of state funds.  Now this is transparency for a starter.  This works out to be only 10.31 sen per copy, considering full-colour and good quality paper!!  What if the previous boot-licking state government were to print this???  Maybe RM10.31 per copy, if they typed the decimal point correctly!!

I like the parting quotation in the covering letter :

" Blessed are the people's voices; for when we are free, Malaysia shall be safe!  Free at last, free at last!"

Good on you Lim Guan Eng!  And thank you for doing an excellent job!!  5 Stars!!  *****

To bet or not to bet?

To bet or not to bet?  That is not the pertinent question.

Has a permit already been given, but not admitting?  That is the question.

Someone has documentary proof that permit (or approval, or in whatever term) had been given.

Both cannot be telling the truth.  One party is lying.

Let us save each other.

Got this from a chat group.  And I did a google search and found this piece of news in The Sun,UK.

Below is a "copy & paste" report:

Andriej Ivanov, and Maria Petrova

A broken-hearted young man decided to throw himself off a bridge in Russia. He climbed up a tall one and spotted a young woman doing the same thing. They climbed down together. Now Andriej Ivanov, 26, is due to marry Maria Petrova, 21.

Devastated Andriej Ivanov, 26, wanted to end it all when his fiancĂ©e died in a car crash the day before they were due to get married. But when he arrived at the bridge — in Ufa, central Russia — he found Maria Petrova climbing over the railings.

Maria, 21, had been thrown out by her parents for falling pregnant and was seconds from throwing herself more than 100ft into the icy Belaya River when Andriej rescued her.

He said: "Something in my heart snapped and I couldn't let her do it no matter how broken my own heart was.

"I shouted, 'Stop' and ran over to her. She fell into my arms sobbing and I began crying too.

"We held each other and talked, and talked and talked. That night saved my life - and hers."

The couple talked into the night and agreed to help each other mend their broken hearts. Now they plan to get married after telling their families about how they met.

Maria said: "He is my knight and my saviour. All that pain was worthwhile because it led me to my Andriej."

Malaysia Boleh Kah?

Many weeks ago, I went to one post office at Carrefour in Seberang Jaya hoping to register my change of address for the voter registration.  But was told there was no more form.  I waited a few weeks, and called them yesterday and again was told that they still did not receive the forms yet.

Wary of this waiting, I went to another post office and managed to get it done.

From this episode, I encountered several issues:
  • Why is this delay in sending forms?
  • Why this simple registration which is done on-line, will take 3 months to take effect?
  • The man from the first post office said that the voter must come  personally to have his thumb print verifed.  The one I just went to, just required my signature.
Taking 3 months to perform this simple task?  And its computerized on-line!!

Hey, something is very wrong here.  If I were just to record this change manually, it would only take me 3 minutes!

I think the "1 Malaysia" government should send our civil servants to Zimbabwe to learn from them.  Maybe after that Malaysia can be number one just like Zimbabwe, if we count backwards alphabetically.

Malaysia Boleh Kah??

Kuih Bangkit

(Kuih Bangkit)

This old fox simply doesn't want to fade away.

What bangit?  Kuih Bangkit.

Who is making a fool of himself?

I don't like to waste my time reading the rubbish.

A little sunbird at the window

Fascinating to see a little sunbird relaxing on the window bar of my kitchen.  I could see it close-up  because of my tinted window pane.  Obviously it could not see me.  The photos were taken with a low-range Minolta digital camera given to me by my sister.  Not bad with a bit of photo editing.

As I wrote before, I used to take pictures as a hobby, with my Nikon and an array of expensive Nikor lenses.  I still have the lenses but no latest digital Nikon camera to match.  The photos will be brilliant if taken with my close-up lens.

The photo above showed it standing on one leg.  To prove that it is not a one-legged bird, take a look at the photo below.

The sunbird is a very small common garden bird striving on the nectar of small flowers.  Quite often it would visit me to keep me company while I washed the dishes.  My kitchen sinks are in front of the windows.  It gives me a sense of peace with nature whenever it comes visiting

The picture below is from the internet.

A refreshing look

A refreshing new look!

The wonders of the the computer and the internet.

Took me quite some time to decide on the numerous choices available, newly provided by Blogger.

What is your verdict?

Orange Marmalade

I am sure you won't believe that I'm really going to write about Orange Marmalade.  You think I'm going to belittle some stupid politicians as "Orange Marmalade!"  No, this real Orange Marmalade is too tasty to be smeared onto these obnoxious politicians!

For today only, the topic is as it is, that is, Real Orange Marmalade.  Don't believe?  Take a look below:

Yes, the above photo is authentically mine.  The orange marmalade was done by my wife, and she said you can have it.  Not the jam but the recipe.  So if you are interested, please go to my web site by CLICKING HERE:

Believe it or not?

Believe it or not?  PM Najib's ratings breach 70%?  Honestly I didn't bother to read the content of the report, because it would be a sheer waste of my valuable time. If you want to waste your time reading it, click HERE.

Why all these "periodic" announcement of his rising ratings?  Who cares?  Sounds like we are in North Korea!!

Since he is so popular, then call for a General Election now.

Fools may be born every minute, but each second has made them wiser to see the truth.

(An update:  Again, my blogger friend has done one up on me.  Please read his analysis HERE:)

Old man's reminiscence

I now belong to the senile senior citizen league.  If you notice that this blog has no new posting for seven days running, then something must have happened to the owner.  It has never happened so far.  Right now I don't feel like writing anything in my blog.  I am trying to build up my other sites.  So this blog may be a bit slow and boring.  To add to the boredom, you can take a look below, at the faded, sepia-like, black and white photo taken many many years ago.

Who do you think he is??

Take a look at the jokers.

If you go to this link and scroll down you would see the jokers, with at least one sneaking through the back door.

There are others you can't see, hidden behind them.  They are the deputies; also many sneaking through the back door.

Very frankly, do we really need the deputies??  How sad.  We are suckers taken for a ride.

Please don't froget to read the comments in the link above.

Let's see what Lim Kit Siang has to say: Click HERE

It is time that we say "enough is enough!"
