DUBAI, Nov 21 — Dubai developers threw a US$20 million (RM72 million) party yesterday complete with Hollywood celebrities Robert DeNiro and Charlize Theron and fireworks that lit up the evening sky.
The party, which was headlined by Australian pop star Kylie Minogue in her Middle East debut, was to celebrate a new US$1.5 billion marine-themed resort built off the Gulf coast on an artificial island shaped like a palm tree.
Celebrities and stars such as Michael Jordan, Lindsay Lohan, Wesley Snipes, Mary Kate Olsen, Shirley Bassey and others were on hand for the festivities.

Massive development going on in Dubai due to high oil revenue, unless you are very wealthy or belong to royal family, you do not get to live in those area, justin, it has nothing to do with human civilization, there is no equality, liberty and individual rights in those society,it only appeal to certain group of people.
I am wondering whether i can have a peaceful night sleep in UAE without getting call up in middle of night or early morning hour if i buy a piece of property there? Justin..or am i allow to have female friend pay me a visit in my new home at night there?

I heard from my Muslim friend there is no poverty exist in Islamic world, every one is rich and live like millionaire, i guess that is the case for Malaysia and UAE, that is why the government spend trillions in "white elephant" projects.
That is really "modern" and "developed", my friend.
If you ever travel to Islamic country,where government spending trillions on improving the live of the poor non muslim is just a wishful thinking, it has never happen yet. But spend on building palatial monuments, mansion and mosque, are pretty common undertaking, i can never comprehend the reason behind.
Dr M is not a Buddhist, he doesn't care about "bad karma" or karma at all, just being a mamak itself is more than enough to gather supports in "Bolehland" among radicals and racists, living in millionaire's lifestyle and stealing the country's wealth.
It does not matter M is at or not.
Buddhism is not a religion...but the way of life...and when every action has an equal reaction is rotating....the result does not care what religion..race you are.
The good deeds and evil deeds forces are always be with us....to carry forward or use them in this present life.
